Jill Pay was appointed as the first female Serjeant at Arms in the House of Commons in 2008 and retired from the post in 2012.   She had worked in the Commons for eighteen years where she developed effective working relationships with Members and their staff.  Jill is an experienced coach and mentor.

Jill is Chairman of the Pink Shoe Senate, a dynamic businesswomen’s network that celebrates the success and achievements of women in every aspect of society and the world of work.   A key aim is to pass on knowledge, skills and experience to others and particularly to the next generation. 

Jill is a Trustee of the ‘Beanstalk’ charity that seeks to improve literacy in primary schools across the UK.  She is a volunteer reader helper in a school in Battersea working with three children who are struggling to learn to read.
