Archil Bakuradze is CEO of JSC Mobile Finance Eurasia, mobile finance company, and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of JSC MFO Crystal, leading the company’s Assets and Liabilities Committee. He currently serves as Chairman of the Georgian Microfinance Association. As part of his commitment to civil society, Archil holds non-executive positions in the Business and Economic Centre in the Parliament of Georgia, Charity Humanitarian Center “Abkhazeti” and Queen Ketevan Foundation. For his contribution to the Internally Displaced People, in 2003 he received the international award from the Dutch Refugee Foundation (Stichting Vluchteling). Archil Bakuradze holds a BA in Economics from the Georgian Institute of Sub-tropic Agriculture and MBA degree from the Lancaster University. He is UK FCO Chevening scholar and a fellow of the John Smith Memorial Trust.

Archil is also Chairman of the Business and Economic Centre (BEC), a part of EPDI, which was established in Georgia in 2004 with support of the EU Commission. In 2007, under the patronage of the Chairperson of the Parliament and through endorsements of all political factions, funded by BP, the Business Economic Centre was set up in the Parliament of Georgia as an independent platform for legislative dialogue. BEC is an independent, not-for-profit and non-partisan institution which aims at strengthening the legislative dialogue on the issues of economy through enhanced policy consultation between business community, civil society and the Parliament of Georgia. BEC does not have policy views. Its sole responsibility is to facilitate the dialogue, build mutual understanding between legislators, policy makers and those affected by the policy in order to support informed judgments by decision makers.
